On 8th July, 2017, Idea Presentation Round of VietnamNext 2017 took place in Up-Coworking Space with the participation of 14 contestant teams and many young people. VietnamNext is a long-term program supporting students, young artists and young people to execute social projects in many fields including environment, economics, education, culture and art.
VietnamNext 2017 received more than 40 project ideas to solve social issues. Especially in this year, our program attracted many education proposals with the goal to liberate human’s creativity and freedom.
14 contestant teams in this round showed their enthusiasm and creativity in their presentation. Besides teams in Hanoi, there were some teams in other provinces and cities such as Hochiminh city presenting online.
Examiners of this round were experts with many years of experience in development fieldwork. To be specific, they are: Ms. Luong Minh Ngoc – Director of Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment; Dr. Bui Hai Thiem – Director of Research Project Management of Research Management Board at the Institute for Legislative Studies, National Assembly Standing Committee of Vietnam; Ms. Le Thi Nam Huong – Program Officer of UNDP; Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Nhung – Director of Representative Office of Thanh Nien News in Hanoi and Ms. Vo Xuan Quyen – Community Manager of Wake it Up. The group of examniners challenged contestant teams with critical perspectives and gave them very useful advice to improve their proposals.
The 6 most dynamic community projects won VietnamNext’s fund this year and 2 other teams received technical support from the program.
