On March 03, the "Take-off" art event took place at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street under the organization of Institute for Studies of Society, Economy and Environment (iSEE), CECEM, Oxfam and the open working group on gender justice and freedom of choice (WEQUAL). This event was meant to celebrate the 8th of March; however, it not only focused on women but also on the presence of all genders with a strong sense of life, freedom and equality.
"Take-off" uses the means of artwork, portraits and stories to give participants a deep looking into “inner-desire”, the courage to break through all struggles and barriers in life to develop and maximize one’s true ability. The event consists of three main sections. The first part is the display of paintings that expresses the definition of "inner-desire" in a new way that is not constrained by any limits. Part two are the photos and the stories of many people who have overcome the prejudices of society and their own fear to follow their passion and fought their best to turn dreams into reality. There is also an exhibition area where exhibitors have the opportunity to discover themselves or share their stories with others.

However, the paintings that define “desire” at the very beginning of the event are the hint and artistic guide for participants to understand "inner-desire" - an invisible and abstract matter. Ten paintings are ten different inspirations, ten stories that were carefully chosen to convey into art.

Besides, the event also had an “experience zone” - a completely new and special model for attendees to interact, ask questions, and also being asked by others on what they really care about. It was an opportunity for people to look at themselves, find their answers without being told what to do and judged. In addition, the "angels" carrying messages about dream, love and beautiful things in life also brought a new highlight to the event.
